The Danish Heart Foundation
With its 121.000 members, the Danish Heart Foundation is one of the largest organizations for combating heart and circulatory diseases in Denmark.
The Foundation carries out patient support, research and preventiion of disease and has been spokesman for heart patients' interests for more than 50 years.
The Danish Heart Foundation is a private organzation and relies largely donations from individuals and firms, supplemented by funding for specific projects. We provide financial support for more than half of alle heart research carried out in Denmark. Every year, we distribute approximately DKK 25 million for research into the treatment and prevention of heart disease.
HRH Crown Princess Mary is patron of the Danish Heart Foundation.
